The open floor plan allows for clear sightlines and safe exploration, with low-height shelving that encourages independence. Curated displays invite discovery and support early literacy development in an inviting, colorful space.

Public Safety & Civic Improvements

An Ambitious Beginning
MCD Architects partnered with the City of Farmington to complete targeted improvements across the Civic Campus, with a focus on public safety, civic function, and staff support. The project included key renovations within the Farmington Public Safety Department, as well as updates to City Hall spaces that serve both municipal leadership and the public.

Planning & Campus Vision
As part of a broader master planning effort, MCD Architects also led planning for the long-term vision of the Farmington Civic Campus, including a future City Hall, library expansion, and opportunities for mixed-use private development—strengthening downtown connectivity and reinforcing the City’s civic identity.
