Chelsea Free Methodist Church
Dexter, Michigan
MCD Architects was recently selected to design a new 6,200 SF church facility for the Chelsea Free Methodist Church in Chelsea, Michigan. The congregation had purchased property for their new church facility some time ago and had been meeting in a community building for several years. The new building will include a multipurpose sanctuary with seating for 200, a multipurpose gathering / fellowship space, offices and classrooms. Ground breaking is planned for this spring with completion in late 2021.
Romulus Public Library
Romulus, Michigan
MCD Architects has been selected to plan an extension to the existing program room at the Romulus Public Library. We have also been commissioned to develop a space utilization study for their existing facility in an effort to maximize the use of their current facility.

Redford Township District Library
Redford, Michigan
The Redford Township District Library has once again contacted MCD Architects to address several areas of the building which will enhance their patron services. This will include an outdoor program area for children, an outdoor gathering /community area, a new covered drive-up service window and interior changes to incorporate an automated book sorting system. The project is scheduled to be implemented in the fall of 2021.
Inkster Public Library
Inkster, Michigan
After their 1950's building was flooded and deemed unusable, MCD Architects with the Inkster Public Library to repurpose and enlarge a nearby vacant building into a state-of-the art, modern library facility. In addition to a large children's area, teen area, and adult reading area, the 10,000 square-foot building introduces a large multi-purpose gathering space and a vocational training center as new community amenities. The library is planning to be open to the public in the summer of 2020.

Salem South Lyon District Library
South Lyon, Michigan
The new addition and major renovation of the youth services area at the Salem South Lyon District Library was recently completed. The new addition provides a second program room for youth programming, a new tween area, expanded computers and increased seating for youth and their parents. The completed project represents a promise kept to the community to expand and improve library services for the youth in their service area.

Crosspointe Christian Church
Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan
MCD Architects recently completed the schematic design of a new gathering/office addition for Crosspointe Christian Church in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. This is our third project we have done for the church, having already completed a renovation of the church and fellowship hall.
Devereaux Memorial Crawford County Library
Grayling, Michigan
The Devereaux Memorial Crawford County Library had a successful millage vote in August which will allow the new addition and renovation of the library to proceed. The 5,300 square foot addition and 10,000 square foot renovation will allow the library to increase its level of service and provide a new and inviting environment for the Crawford County community.
St. Paul Lutheran Church

St. Paul Lutheran Church has called on MCD Architects once again for the next phase of the facility development. After completing both their school addition and improvements to their sanctuary, this project will include the upgrading and reorganization of their existing sanctuary and the creation of additional gathering space. St. Paul will celebrate their 150th anniversary in 2021 and the goal is to have the aforementioned improvements completed for this important event.

Briggs District Library
St. Johns, Michigan
MCD Architects has been selected to provide design services for the renovation of the existing 9,750 SF Briggs District LIbrary in St. Johns, Michigan. The design process will include an examination of the current use of their building and how operational efficiencies can be realized through thoughtful reorganization.
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer
Birmingham, Michigan
MCD Architects has started the design for Phase II of Sacred Space for the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Birmingham, Michigan. Phase II will include the construction of a new, enlarged, sanctuary, expanded music department, and new modern children’s ministry space. Groundbreaking is anticipated for the spring of 2020.
Bay Harbor Community Church

MCD Architects was selected to design a new worship space for the Bay Harbor Community Church in Bay Harbor, Michigan. The new building will include a worship space to accommodate 250, fellowship space, and meeting space. Groundbreaking is anticipated for spring of 2020.
